Martins is 73 and Roys 72 I think. Differences being a digit on the VIN and larger over-riders on the 73.

Black definitely works on the 72-74 cars.

I was at Ron Fenton's today and he's got a very nice looking 73 340 (Six Pack?) Challenger there waiting for collection, in Plum Crazy. It has 71 RT stripes but suits it well.

I couldn't see the rear end tho.... which always helps on the 72-74s!

Hopefully see it out and about next year.... :thumbright:

Whoops, just goes to show, you've seen one black Mopar, you've seen them all :D

Off to Mope recognition school for me

While Scotland always was a Mopar desert (apart from RHD Barracuda's, for some reason, including convertibles) through the eighties and nineties, back in 85/86there was a nice late Challenger up here in silver with, if I remember correctly, '360 four barrel' badges on the hood.

Way back in the very early nineties three of us went to see a 71 Challenger that had a 383 four barrel, bucket seats but column shift. It was triple black. I wonder where that car went?

I guess that the orange Challenger in the photo I posted is DaveR/Linda's?
