managed to sneak over there for a quick half an hour this afternoon. looked like a fantastic day was had by all. Saw Jeff and Kevs car. Both looking good, also managed to grab a few words with Dunc.
How many top cars were there and how long was the queue for the fire up lane ?

Great weekend, Thanks to Duncan and Blue for the help with the carb, we owe you one big time guys!!

We ran our best ever time and mph a 9.81 @ 137 then beat the et again a 9.80, thats quicker than the car ever ran in the States and all we have done is change the fuel pump. Not bad for a n/a 3600ld car without gas 8)

awesome, all the weather reports were bad, so despite a pretty good day saturday, i never bothered to fetch the trailer and load pinkie and gear for an early start this am,
BUGGER !!!!!
awoke at 8am to find briliant sunshine blasting thru the window, great, to make it worserer you all had a good time,
that said, i've been to the hrd's for the past 6 years or so, and the queues and oildowns etc seem almost too much ! tey only ever get it tgether n the last couple of hours !!

Kept an eye for you Hugh.. You missed a good un mate!
Great to be camped with the lads. Think Joe led them astray though!
Downs of the weekend were.. Mud, Rain, and 'Kin kids on bikes oh, and not seeing much racing. Too busy queueing up to race. Phils bad luck (hope it is all OK mate)
Highlights were.. Being with you guys, and meeting with more of the members here. Helping Kev lookout for "SMF's" (you don't want to know).
Finally seeing the Taxi, and racing it! Kev, I love that car! Having my mind read by the devil in a blue plastic oval container. And finally getting into the 11's.
Oh and chatting to a guy in the fireup lane with the blue 68 Beetle. He said that not many American car owners talk to him! He told me he should put a stronger box in the car... Next run, it broke the box. Reckon that was the Devil box working!

Here's a few more, but I must get them up on me site too. This is just a small selection. James you can use whatever you need for the mag but I will put most of the best pics up on me site over the next week or so, I also have a lot of non-Mopar pics from Sunday too like these....

Top pix Dave and Sunday was superb...thanks to Paul and Blue for allowing me to scoff their left over spare ribs.
As you can see from Dave's pix the Mopar turnout was good and everyone appeared to be getting some superb runs in...the highlight of the day for me was see the super close racing between the the Luton and Halifax crews running the Valiant Sygnet and the lmost identical coloured Belvedere...side by side virtually all the way.
I've never seen Duncan work so hard making sure his compadres got as many runs in as possible.
Kev and the taxi on top form with the new single plane manifold (that wheel is definately in the air mate!) and Philth taking another Mopar Performance cam lobe off...hope you got home, mate!
...and thanks for that pic of me Dave, it may come as no surprise to hear that Brad Pitt has often been mistaken for me you know
