Loved the first two albums, they then went overproduced comedy metal(relatively speaking).

The Who weren't satisfied with just being the loudest, they also had a damned good go at blinding the audience. Aside from all the usual lights and lasers that were de rigeur in the eighties they had a huge bank of white lights that swung down at the end of the show which nearly took your retinas out when they flicked the switch. They were so bright that they were featured in an article in The New Scientist magazine. I stumbled out of that gig half deaf, half blind and with a tan !

Actually mate, I completely agree with you! Graham Bonnet was a great front man. Shame Ritchie couldn't tolerate a short haircut and the odd Hawaiian shirt.
