I have got all my stuff back from the powder coaters and now I have started to re-assemble all the bits and pieces.
I had the filler tube and breather done in a tough texture black as it will get knocked in the boot.
All the heater box panel and flaps where done in a silver and the front panel in gloss black. I have a new gasket kit for the heater box and I also have a firewall gasket kit.

I had some piece on Saturday afternoon so I finally made my voltage regulator and once I have tested it in my car and make sure it works I will be selling these to anyone who wants one. I have already made three more and I have enough parts to make six more.
I have made mine so it is a plug and play system so you don't have to solder onto the back of your circuit board and can then put back the standard items. Mine uses the original capacitor screw and mounts in that location.

Once I know that they work I will post the cost and I will make as many as are wanted. I am going to go to Derek's house and try them on his car as it will be a few weeks till my car is up and running.
Make sure Del`s Fire Insurance is up to date, if you`re testing out (untried) electrics......................... he must be a good mate to let you use his car as a test bed.
Does the voltage limiter work the same as these solid state types.(see photo) on ebay.
Nice powder coating there.........who does that for you?

I'm sure its the same sort if thing. Get rid of the old system and replace with solid state tech.
A friend of mine owns his own powder coating company.
One the jobs that I have been doing is rebuilding my heater box and it has taken a long time but it came out great. I replace all the foam gaskets and powder coated everything so it looks better than new now.
I had to repair bits of the fiberglass and then colour it and you can't tell its been repaired.
