Just seen this, no that's not the reason Rob and no, that won't fix it GJUK. Some years ago when I was having a break from administration duties the site was inadvertently blanket pruned and there were no back ups available beyond the one's I had done when I "retired", so all previous posts were lost. I managed to restore all the posts I had backups of back to the beginning (there were years) but not for the nine months since I had stopped being the administrator. It involved a lot of manual hacking in the MySQL DB to restore as many of the pictures and pages as I could without losing the newer posts that had been made after the prune. This resulted in the older longer threads being out of sync with the pages that are showing and the only way to fix this is to spend many days manually going through, checking and altering as needed.GJUK wrote:(Easy fix in PHPBB, you have to resync the pages, done in the admin panel. If you click on the last page number link of a thread (eg 40) and it says "No posts exist for this topic" just go back and click on the page before (eg 39) and you'll see the last page. The reason it works, then doesn't and then works again is because as more posts are made it catches up with the number needed to populate the last page it thinks is there.
Having said all that I'll try and manually fix this thread as soon as I have a moment as it's still active.
