Thought it might be something as simple as that, Dunc, but thought some of the old hands might recognise it as meaning something.
Not worrying about it, unless someone tells me different!
**Edit** Come to think of it, they are all numbered as well.

You obviously haven't been reading the "Engine carb and electrics" section, either!
It is just a bare block now, just grabbing a few mins here and there to bring the tear down up to date before the build starts in earnest. Head stripping tonight!
Anyhoo... Pistons out, all looked ok barring one bore, which had a slight rust spot evident. That has all been covered in the tech section, so a couple of quick pics here only. (Before and after emery cloth, if you're interested in the conclusion, look
HERE.) Cut a story short, the block is taking a ride in a borrowed van to see Jim (Challenger on here) who's going to have a go at honing it for us (No honing tools here, I'm afraid.

) on Sunday.

Can't get any further with the shortblock until after Sunday, then. So I'll not bore (*ahem*

) you with any more pics of a simple motor strip. I'll update that when there's something to show. Will be stripping the heads later, so might be more interesting stuff then.
In the meantime, a trip back down to Jon B's as the rocker covers and manifold where ready! Brilliant and superfast job by Mr B!

Again, this has been posted in Resto so if you want to read that thread have a looky
HERE otherwise, here's a couple of quick pics of the awesome job he did.

A few PM's and a ding in the bank account later and this little box of MOT helpers turned up from Steve at Beaver Bushes.
So weekend plan... Strip out /6, replace front end bushings, take motor to Jim and hone.

Meanwhile the new K frame is undergoing a spruce up at the hands of Gareth and a grinder...

"Yeah, well, I always heard there were three kinds of suns in Kansas, sunshine, sunflowers, and sons-of-bitches."

25,000 random people live in Didcot, just 2 minutes from Jon's. Didn't phone any of them, either!
