Visiting freinds and family, spending time with my Fiance, working on the house.
Thats what I will be filling 85% of my time with over Winter.
(I'll work on my car stuff if the mood, and spare time meet at the same instance)

Miles thats just one
you should see under the bench......
if i put 40 in parrallel i should be just on the button
balancer is a Romac SFI (????) race approved all steel jobby
aussie brand
do nice alloy centre steel band and all alloy ones as well for just about everything.... including under sizes for those who have had a balancer eat chunks out of the crank snout. I felt for street 99.9% of the time steel was best. fit and forget
www.romac.com.au
they do a nice line in timing sets, chains custom axles hubs etc as well
these and yella terra are the only brands from Oz that the US guys seem to take a bit of notice of.
they use rowntrees lime jelly instead of rubber to couple the ring to the hub. nice
this one is primarily weighted to stop the crank and flywheel trying to do the spinning-top waltz and batter out the bearings. It also has the rubbery stuff formulated to change the resonant frequency of the rotating mass up away from its current 5750 to 6500+ so all those little torsional vibrations don't gang up on me and snap me crank in half or rattle my flywheel loose.
much better to deal with that now i can actually rev past 4000 rpm than throw money at the more obvious go faster bits.
did consider getting a hub made to mount a mecury filled jobby off a perkins diesel they are ment to have a dramatic affect that is supposed to be better than those rattler ones. just anything filled with mercury is subjected to health and saftey which means thay can't make em anymore. The hub would have cost more than this new balancer. its definitly worth investigating though. Mecury filled balancer has unique properties that can't be reproduced any other way.
new lifters are in as well
measured them against the old can see no difference of any consequence i.e both come in in tollerance but the new ones don't cause clacking and the old did no matter what preload.....tres odd. springs must a been shagged.
oooohhh shiny shiny
i like shiny
