It's gotta be the 55 Chevy for me too.

Not many Mopars around. But you've got to give credit where it's due. there is no doubt GM got it right with the Tri Chevy's.

For me (at the moment at least):

58 Buick Limited
58 Oldsmobile with J2 Option
55-58 Cadillac Eldorado Seville or Biarritz.

We are talking bone stockers here, not Rod fodder

Oh yes - and with the conti kit n all.

So thats at least 2 in the UK then???? I am well shocked as they are rare rare rare. John has just done one at JPC. It was a silver shade between gunmetal and the one you posted a picture of, with a turquoise roof. Had the Kelsey Hayes wires too. I just love 58 Buicks to bits - even the Caballero wagon. Just epitomises the 50's. Big land yatch with too much chrome.

Still shocked at there being at least 2 here in UK. They are worth a bit of dosh.

Anyway, where was the pic taken Bruv? One of your local haunts?

Clive, I took that pic at a Classic car meet at Romsey (Hants) on Boxing day morning, Last Year! Owned by the organiser of that Meet, Steve, who is a big fan of them 1958 Buicks, Few years ago, He owned a 58 Century Biege 4dr, sold that on, and Imported a Silver 4dr Limited, Couple of years after getting that, He Imported the 2dr Silver one in the pic. He then had the chance to get a Limited White conv, Sold the 4dr to a chap in Manchester, so he could Import the conv, kept that a couple of Years before selling it on, that one went to Europe, cant remember were though, He then Imported a 1958 Lincoln conv, which he still owns. I have seen over the years a 4dr Limited siver and white job, Might have a pic somewere, and the one you mention at Johns, I have seen before, a long time ago. :read2: :read2: Here is a couple of snaps of one, taken at a show, 1991. This one was a Dreamcars import, car was originally met blue, light blue, can't remember exactly. wonder if its still around!  :thumbright:

Well, from those god-awful trousers, that could only be Pete Tucker doing the commentary

I remember that black and white one. A very old mate of mine who lives in swindon had one before I knew him. Was around the mid to late eighties. Can't remember much about it.

Kev had some lovely cars, including a red 54 series 62 Cad convertible with dual quads, KH wire wheels and conti kit, a gorgeous 56 Eldo Seville, a gorgeous black 59 coupe deville with the plate '00 59 00', a 58 Edsel pacer he WON in a competition, and of course the 58 Limited. (not all at the same time of course). Now he drives a fantastic lemon and white 1960 Chevvy Apache pickup.

So, what sort of money would a car like that 2 door silver limited go for????

I will ask him, next time I see him. The black 59 Caddy was owned by someone in Dorset in the late 80s, very nice example. 8-) :thumbright:

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I'd like to find one of these in a barn...
The pump don’t work coz the vandals took the handles.
