Yeah, but it was "Wheels" day. As stated in all the advertising it was for ALL wheeled machines. There was even a traction engine there! 8) The event is so huge some people will not get to park where they want. There were some sweet rides parked right over the back behind the hill. I don't really know where Surrey Street Rodders could go that is bigger than their current site of rushmoor park. Get some better bands as well :D Last one I was at was in '98 and boy has it grown.

Kev that was not a traction engine, It was a Sentinel S4 steam lorry with a boiler running at 275 psi and a 4 cyl engine with shaft drive :D They are capable of 55-60 mph unladen with no gearbox! there is a low ratio for low speeds in yards but you have to stop to change gear.Don't ever miss the chance of a ride in one, makes you wonder what modern tech would do for them.

Personally I appreciate all cars and only wish I could have been there to see those cortinas. Not everyones taste but I love 'em (sorry ford haters). Went to a show today and looked at some 2cv's. But only out the corner of my eye, and from a far so no one knew. Still don't like 'em (sorry 2cv lovers).

Seeing these pics, its a shame I couldnt go, looks loads bigger at the new venue. Will be there next year. At least I did something worthwhile and actually drove my Charger in and out of the garage just to prove to Mandie it works. Maybe ready for Brooklands ??

There not many people with a worst case of Mopar fever than me but I would cross the street any day to give a Lotus Cortina or even a well sorted mk3 Cortina a good look at. Love em. :D

slightly off topic, but here's a photo of my ol' cortina - got rid of it 18 months ago - then bought my Capri as a daily runner.

Miss it.
