I had the case sandblasted which turned up a whole host of horrors. Decision was made to keep the frame and make new panels. I think painted in turquoise metalflake will fit the bill.

The head rest and mini-console were chromed steel and deeply corroded. Option was to have them stripped and re-plated or remake them out of ali. The latter option was taken.

I fancied putting some extra lights on the front and decided on Austin A35 side lights.
Once I got them they looked great but seemed to be lacking a certain amount bit of 'Dan Dare'. Detail is going to be everything on this project!
I then discovered a guy selling these sexy looking plinths. I didn't want to commit to a costly mistake so he made me up some wax molds which fitted the lights perfectly. Result!

Ok, this is REALLY fascinating stuff!
I bought a Fairground gun on Ebay. Pic attached - approx 32 inches long.
The seller stated where it had come from so I did a bit of research.
It came from the San Souci Park, Pennsylvania which opened in 1880 and closed in 1970.
Very fascinating I hear you say but check out the pic of one of the rides.
Look familiar?
Anyone care to take a stab at the date as I'm very keen to try and date the cars??
