you can get a windscreen in the UK
autoglass or the other company that went bust and were purchaed by autoglass did mine

i'll have the invoice if you need order number for pursuadeing the sales person that they have had one made recently...
I also have a screen which is scratched which could be autoglass polished yours for £50 forgot all about it.....its under the decking.
it may get you an MOT and then once you are fully insured try following a twin wheeled truck with a stone stuck between its tyres for a bit and see if you can get a new screen on your £50 excess.
