sent a letter to the last owner in the States and got a really nice reply from him (Jim)....Here is part of the email..made me smile...

Now here is my families affiliation with the Plymouth Furys.

1963 My father buys first Fury
1964 Buys another
1965 Purchases a Sport Fury
In 1967 he totals the 65 on telephone pole- Buys a 67

In 1969 my brother returns from Vietnam- Purchases 1968 350 GT Mustang
My father looks as car says "Sure doesn't look like a Dodge, and if it isn't a Dodge you don't live here."

Brother Trades in 350 gt Mustang for Emerald green Sport Fury Convertible

I end up with my Fury along the way, my cousin buys a Grand Fury,
2010, my brother, now retired purchases 1969 Sport Fury Conv. Red this time

We cruised her mostly, drive in movies, fun for the kids.

Jim also sent some photos which I have attached

Cheers Steve

Yeah....I love all this stuff....all part of the fun of classic cars. A mate of mine has a really nice TR4A that was owned by a doctor who took it to Europe on holiday every year. He has some great documentation on that car....trips around Estonia, Italy, France etc etc.

Ive started an OCD folder for the Fury already :thumbright:

I know we're reading it now  nothing wrong with doin that Steve it's good to keep a cars history pup to date usually gets lost over the years. Plus as you say it's all part of the hobby. I thought about writing to my cars US owner in Colorado but that was 25 yrs ago so would be a very very slim chance they haven't moved. Keep up the good work mate.

The pics were taken at a local car show somewhere in Pleasant Valley, NY. The car came with two rear quarter panels and Jim reliably informs me that he tracked them down to a Police station in Georgia that used to use Furys as patrol cars and did their own body repairs.... :thumbright:
