Yes, the wiring is my single biggest concern at the moment.

Thanks for the offer on the headers, I’m researching now and see what’s what. Looks like there are a number of local companies that can do this here, but might be down to build budget now for the decision, cost dependent. May still plough ahead with wrapping as I have the kit.

More weighing up to do now. :-k

On the bright side, my light surrounds have been baking in the sun all afternoon and I’m very pleased with them and my new found masking prowess! :D

Thank you. 8-)

I’m going to try and refurb the other sets I’ve got and see how they come up, as the repops are wafer thin, so not sure how they will cope with stone chips and the like. I don’t recommend them unless you’re desperate, to be honest, but now I’ve sprayed them the correct colour, they look great for now.

Been using it on headers and even the complete exhaust for years now.

They look good. Any benefit to heat dissipation, or just protection?

Going to attempt to get some quotes tomorrow and see how it looks. :-k

Nice work Stu, Nats in roughly 6 weeks, should be okay...unless you fall in another rabbit hole.

It’s just a finish, as far as I’m aware there are no other benefits.

Thanks Dave.

Will see about the Nats, in reality with work and life commitments I reckon I’ve got 2 weekends and a few nights and early mornings to get it done, so I’m not very hopeful with all the wiring and the trans still to hook up, plus a load of other bits and the fuel system as well.

Just got to keep plodding on and see how far I get.

Ok, cheers Blue. Will have a think and a cost up.

Found a backstreet place not far away who had quoted £40-£60 per header for blasting and thermal ali spraying. Even gave me a demo of the kit, it’s very impressive! I’ve left them there to be done and should be able to collect them next week, so that’s another piece off my plate.

In the meantime, trans is in and loosely bolted up, thanks to a helping hand or two from Mr P. Couldn’t have done that on my own, what a ball-ache without a ramp and a lift. Hoping to make some progress at the weekend, measure up for the prop and get the bits to where they need to go for that.

In other news, headlights arriving today for the conversion and swag has arrived at G.A.S this week, so should be with me shortly!

At some point, of course, I’m going to have to tackle that wiring though…
