I plan on getting a tribal tattoo on my shoulder when I am 18 and I was thinking of getting either "The Coronet" written in cursive somewhere or a picture of a superbee to remember my car if I come to sell it so I can remember it. :thumbright:

Nana, Conner, think very hard before you do. I still love the one on my left arm, but as I showed last year on the board I had the one on my right arm modified to include the Mopar M. The guy who did it must have been showing me someone else's work, because it all looked awesome. He made a RIGHT hash of it and now I'm stuck with it. I don't quite know what the hell to get done with it now.

The other thing to consider is, you can't take them off when you don't want them on. I am proud of one of mine, always have been, it reflects a part of my life. But at some points in life, I wish I didn't have any. Maybe only for a very short period, but it happens. And yes, you WILL get the times when you're on holiday with your shirt off and you can see people looking at you like you are the scum of the earth or a yob. Might not bother you all the time, but sometimes it just might...

Not saying you shouldn't do it, just that you should think hard before you do. Once they're on, they're on. No going back. :mytwocents:

Stu I know what you mean and there are people in my school that dont like them but I have wanted the one on my shoulder for 5 years and im 3 years away before I can think about having one done but I think tattoos look good and this is something that I really want done.
I know a place where I can have it done because my uncle and dad have had theirs done their and all of them look good.

My missus hate's them because, when she was a little girl they lived next door to an old guy who's back was covered and because his skin was now sagging, said it looked revolting. I can see where she's comin' from, some people over do it!

Good stuff, Connor. Not trying to put you off just making sure you know what you are doing! I was still sure I wanted mine until 18 years after I had my first! That was always meant to be a flying V with flame wings, but turned out to be something else because I was too skint. D'OH! Its good that you have the benefit of knowing the artist. :) It wasn't until I got my second that I really got what I wanted and that was a representation of how I felt at the time. (I didn't feel great, as it happens, but I will always remember that time of my life, which was pretty major, so I don't regret that.)

I'll get round to posting a pick of the one I still love sometime or other... :)

Woody, I'm still sure it can't be coincidence... ;)

Conor, the trick with tatoo's is, be original. These days, being original, means don't have a tribal tatoo.

The amount of Maouri-based tatoo's I have seen on people that don't enven know what a Maouri is, is comical. The only thing that outnumbers tribal tatoo's these days is Eastern European Immigrants.

Don't do it mate. I wish I hadnt. :thumbright:

Clivey I know what you mean but thats one of the reasions I like them, because lots of people have them and seeing them just reinforces the idea of me getting one.

Fair point mate, but if that was true of everything, you would be restoring a Citroen Saxo, not that wicked ole 68 Coronet of yours. Food for thought fella. :thumbright:
