Pete - just a question, not a critisism - are you likely to suffer drain back with that oil line?

I appreciate it is a trailer car and you can pre-oil in the pits.

Just asking as I am getting to the point of re-assembling Julie's 400, and I am looking for ideas on the external oiling :thumbright:

Looks great Pete. :thumbright:

I opted to use the sandwhich plate that was already on the 605 (twin oiling) & just cap it off , reason being the oil pump drive would of been too long had i done away with the sandwhich plate , ended up using the sandwhich plate for the single oiling system i have on it now , have also plugged the ports on the filter plate , great thing about this is no drain back issues , as the oil is sitting on the top of pump & has no way of draining back , checked to see the oiling passage was big enough & all seems ok.

Can't be arsed to pull dizzy everytime i start the motor , this is also the reason i opted to stay with the sandwhich plate , two birds with one stone as they say.

Here you go.

The oil line from static pickup will go to the port on sandwich plate (between block & pump) , it came to me when i was havin one of my condor moments , also did'nt want to loose any weight off the K frame. ;) :D

Dunc said i should be fine so good enough for me. :thumbright:
