Points. I've got a leccy dizzy on the other engine, but no control box. Points don't look brilliant. I might just try re-gapping them first and see if that cures it.
I wanna get the 440 built this winter and bung that in, so I'm going to have to get a kit soon anyway. I just want the bleeding car to cut me some slack for a change.

Is the Ballast fitted/ok , 12 volts on a points ignition system will burn em up real quick.
I don't know mate. I've had my suspicions in the past that the ballast might be on the way out. I'm getting it MoT'd tomorrow, and the guy who's doing it might be able to shed some light, as he runs a '69. Just gotta hope it makes it there...
