Yes but, why not paint it any colour you want unless you want it 100% or rivet counting :D

Nice to know there good technical input on this thread.....

Thought this section was about Engine, Carburation & Electrics, not what bleedin colour your engine should be :P

I could understand it a bit more, if it was giving specs for good adhering drain back paint

Just :mytwocents: as they say

Gonna be a right sleeper with that good ole low performance turqouise blue. :D

Back on track

Degreed the cam in today , got it to within 0* of cam card. 8-) , tis a 114 lobe sep , dialed @ 110 intake C/L.

Cleaned the oil ways on the roller lifters , was a blockage on a couple of lifters , no problem with the push rod ends on those two.

Gotta fabricate the valve covers & spray bars , so will mark up & cut out where needed for the large dizzy cap , then get it welded up.

Hoping to get the ex oil kit this week , head gaskets & other bits to finish the job , should have it running pretty soon. 8-)

Yea sorry Jim.............the heads are specific to the bore (4.5) , these heads use the larger valves , not sure on size , will have a look.

As Mopar Mark said , might have the pushrods drilled , just gotta be careful i don't flood the top end , will monitor the spray bars with the tops cut off the valve covers , can always fiddle with orifice sizing , will probably end up with the spray bars concentrating on cooling the springs & shafts , spring pressures are 270 seated & 700 open.

:-k
