its all taking shape but im sure it will slow down as i get on to the little bits and bobs, i intend to use cnc machinbed gusset plates on all stressed joints and each one (or possibly a pair) will be different so will take a while to sort out.

no dont get me started, this project started as a quick thow a 440 in the duster and have fun then i was offerd the dart then i was advised to back half it, then looked ad front to rear frame rails , then a tube frame was mentioned, please dont tempt me to do a plastic body (in the future maybe ;) ) but i want to get it sort of finished soon ish :working:

Come on Trev, how cool would that be? Like the old slot car kits from Japan where the body was the bubble pack that you cut out and painted, except you wouldn't paint yours!

That would be so COOL!

so i need to find a company that can produce a 20 thou (0.5mm) thick full size dart shell then just pop it over the frame , great idea :thumbright: i will be emailing airfix and revell to see if they are up for it, and if they arnt i will offer it to monogram :D

been at it again, this time it was the rear of the frame. this wasnt too easy as i had to bend my own tube as the kit is for a duster so the rear was different ,thanks to gary (GWAK on here) for helping with the bending. it took a while to get the tube but now its all sorted. i can now take the body off and start fitting all the aditional tubes (lots of them) then i intend to make gusset plates for all stressed joints.
