Now you have learnt to spray the bits on top, you can practise getting paint on the side bits ;)

It's good to have a go your self :thumbright:

Yes thats a nice job, however, it looks to me like you have a filter in between the tank and the pump suction side?......is that so?

Pete on a race car only, you shouldn't have filter between the tank and inlet to the elec pump, it can cause cavitation in the pump, a coarse screen type filter maybe......Pucker filter should only be between pump and carb/s.......thats how I did it from what I learnt, don't know what type of filter you got there...Fram?.. but maybe its contributing to your nosing over perhaps as you mentioned earlier I think??.

I also had a very similar tank to you, mine was made from aluminium and had 2 outlets facing downwards.

Something to think about Lez ,,,, but i was told if the pump is as close to the tank as possible you will not suffer from cavitation,,,Also i keep my fuel tank full ....this also helps prevent cavitation....but you may be on to something...Another thing i do is only turn on my second pump after my burnout....then shut one of at the end of run....

Running the pump close to the supply is mandatory, whether the tank is full or not, cavitation can still happen, we never ran a full tank, you don't want any restriction on the suck side. I ran 2 blue race pumps but only 1 was for the motor, other was for N20 supply only. 1 for each carb perhaps if your running 2 with a hot motor otherwise why use 2 Pete?

You need to keep it as simple as possible, I believe the pumps have a screen in them anyway, anyhow, the only filters I had were about half way along the aluminium lines, I had an inline Fram in the middle which ran to the reg/s. We did this with 340 as well except we modified the stock tank with 2 x 1/2" outlets.

I was only making a measly 500hp if that out of my 440, you will probably need more fuel supply than I did so any restrictions mentioned could hurt.

in my never ending search to find things to waste money on ,these are the latest parts on that list ,,,, These are front spring hangers ,beefed up with stonger studs ,,,,two ride hieghts which should drop my rear wheels down to within half an inch from the arche.....plate goes in front of hanger (engine side of fixed perch) ....I have read a thousand articles on making leaf spring cars run ,,, some people swear buy these to make the chassis more rigid...we will see ,,,,try and get them fixed next weekend,,,,quality is top draw ,, nickel plated and big studs ,,,
