(Not directed at Pete that comment)
B-bodies seem better at running faster.
Why is this?
More weight/wheelbase is probably safer I guess

Nick Wood 10.20's on Mopar performance street springs!
(Won't mention the S/S springs, went slower) B-body!

In the A-BOD corner!
The everpresent Cliff Turner, 9.70's on Caltrac's
Dean Bailey 10.00 flat on street springs? Now backhalved!
Pete The Wiserman, 9.70's on S/Stocks.

A heap of 68 Darts and Barracudas, with 1000 horse Hemi's running 8.40's
on something stockish in Factory Superstock class? ie WAR FISH, going fourspeed, WOW!
Not sure what those cars are running on these days? (hidden drugs?)

How much you reckon the 'mis-fire' slowed you down Pete? , i got a ton of excuses for my poor times last year , reckon it should pick up a couple seconds. :D

Sorry to interrupt guys, but it's Captain Slow here!:geek:

The "How to Build a Winning Drag Race Chassis and Suspension" book has arrived, I've given ita quick speed read for content and in short, although the content appears to be very good, with tech drawings, illustrations and angles, it's aimed more at up to date tube framed cars with four link set ups etc.

So it hasn't really helped me with old school leaf springs, ladder bars and tube axle set ups...anyway after reading the latest regs on the ACE web site, it looks like the separate chassis is out of the window if I want to remain road legal...

New rules Pete.

Well, I say new rules, they've been in place 27 years, but due to EU influence, they are now being inforced on the new MOT (so I'm led to believe) and if the MOT inspector ticks the little box, that says "modified car" it can be inspected.

If you cut into the monocoque on a Unibody car especially to the extent I planned with the Barracuda, it has to be subjected to a BIVA test (which it will fail)

This is really worth checking out: http://www.the-ace.org.uk/Chassis-and-M ... ation.html
