Since I stopped being a Mopar owner I seem to have a great deal of spare time. Never had so much to be honest.
That simple quote says SO much about owning and running a Mopar compared to a late model Corvette!
The pump don’t work coz the vandals took the handles.

...should of bought a Grand National instead Dave, plenty there to keep you occupied ;)

On a more serious note, there is a great residual knowledge of other types of cars besides Mopar on here not to mention a great degree of technical knowledge that applies to most old cars, Mopar or otherwise.

Look guys.

Facebook is not the problem.

It is not a substitute for this forum. It is just a place to chit chat. We had a MMA chat room years ago. It is just an up to date version of that.

It does not have and will never have any technical content like this forum. Nor will it have parts and cars for sale like this forum.

You are all whipping it up out of all proportion because of your pure ignorance.

Just because people are chatting away behind the scenes on Facebook it does not mean the club is dead. In fact I would rather people posted all the crap on Facebook and left this forum clear of it. It seems to me that people think it is fine to post all sorts of crap on here that has bugger all to do with Mopars.

Just because me and Simon are thinking of leaving the club is not a sign that "Facebook is taking over". It is just a sign we don't own Mopars any longer.

If you think this forum is not as good as it used to be, well that may or may not be the case. It is the middle of winter. It is always quiet at this time of year.

If you want it to be busy on here then why are the people moaning about Facebook not posting stuff about what they are working on at the moment???

You lot are like old women sometimes you really are.

Now stop fannying about and go out and buy a Mopar! ;)

As usual (ok, sometimes ;) ), Dave speaks a lot of sense.

Tho i do take exception with the reference to 'you lot' :? Just cos people have posted a reply dioesnt mean we're all in the 'doom & gloom' gang!

It's a bit like when you get held up on the motorway cos there's an accident on the other carriageway - you all get called 'rubberneckers' when it's more likely that there was only one rubbernecker that slowed to take a look and everyone else behind has had to slow down without even looking at the accident

You should see what you and your brother look like at car shows. Always scanning over the top of the crowds like two periscopes. You must get a lot of practice from all the rubber necking you do on motorways. ;)

We're on Faceache? :?

Oh well. I'm not. I'll put it in the "People I can phone if I want to keep in touch with and won't miss if I don't" box.

£27 won't kill anyone who has enough justification for keeping an expensive old car outside the house. Haven't touched the Barracuda for an age, but it's still there in case I ever get rich enough to Bananarama!, or get enough time free to see it again. :D In the meantime, If I get really stuck I can flog one of the rusty old parts in the garage to pay for membership. :D

Seriously... What the hell does £27 buy you these days? It ain't worth as much as it was when I was a kid and thought it was a fortune. Most kids seem to spend that a month on their phone these days.

Troublemaker, Dunc. ;) :D

I reckon a few people missed the point though. I'm pretty sure Dunc had been told that the info we have on here was being passed on free on Faceache. That WOULD be out of order if people were just skipping renewal fee's.

Not the case though, eh?

8-)
24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not…

At least "DUNC" says it how it is ;) ;) ;)

Same old people are going to leave, it happens every year, LET THEM GO, as there are plenty of new members.

By the way, I WILL be renewing my membership :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright: £27.00pa equates to only £0.07p per day, an even greater bargain
