Nice
son wanted board Mrs christmas purchased a Bananarama! with plastic trucks which was quickly modded (wheels bushings, ebay trucks
so no way could i show him even the basic get-on-and push stuff that i can manage
hence purchcase of a number of other bits and bobs
got a 27 inch 5.5 inch wide NOS 70s alamo plastics (santa fe springs) tie-dye, added NOS Jensen Trucks (didn't realise how rare these were until i used em...oops, and some modern Penny wheels soft and 60 mm
like a flying carpet so smooth if you leave it anywhere it sets off by itself to find the lowest point above sea level.
got a clone of my orginal kids board Caliente 500 with red voided wheels. is horrible, not how i remeber, but i was smaller and lighter then stuck some ACS430 roller skate hangers on to Some sure Grip base plates and stuck on Power Paw wheels. still horrible. it won't break a hanger even with my weighty carcas on it but its still horrid
anyway I felt an arse on a plastic board. even if kids stopped and said nice board mate with occasionally no hint of sarcasm
so got an "A Third Foot" UK made deck on the cheap stuck some indy stage 10s on it and some crap wheels, expecting the refined ride of the cheapo 27 inch placcy one. rattles my teeth out jesus just underlined everything i saw wrong with my sisters generation of boards mid - late 80s. I will however persist...
never a Skateboarder back in the 70s/80s just ya usual boy with a skate board for getting to the shops geting a tow off a bloke on a bike and crashing up curbs, so the Skate Park never played a part in my life, the idea terrifies me
I pump it about the street tick tac here and there when i'm on Parental " can we play-out and ride our bikes on the road" duty
Mainly amuse my neigbours.
"you'll break your arm"
"Naa i'll be fine" as i rip the ass or Knees out of my jeans
my joints have never had such a hard time feel like ive been skiiing for a week when i get in
wife just rolls her eyes at least its some kind of exercise

Looks like I will not be there Friday now due to family problems.

..staying with skateboards..might bring my Fibreflex as we're headed straight off to Centrparcs from the Nats, miles of car free roads to carve along
Who needs a bike?
On a down note, probably taking daily driver to Nats. Just can't sleep with the idea of my prized Mopar being parked in a public car park for five days
