Both of our wheel wells came up short by and inch, and the trunk floor was short too,AMD it is nice to have new panels, but sometimes I wonder, perhaps our car was way off from the factory,

The passenger side arch fitted fine after some hammering, although the holes didn't line up as the original. The trunk floor was about an inch short too.
I'm not sure what the tolerances in the factory were but we have the rear chassis to within 2mm of the drawing, going to have to get some frame connectors to reduce the flex and make sure everything stays the same.
The Inner fenders panels that overlap at the back are 10mm different to each other in length and they are factory parts.

Some progress at last, there's a big chunk missing as I broke my phone!
Floors are in at last. Transmission tunnel repaired and in, lots of hammering and beating the arches and wings to get them to fit with the doors, roof cleaned and repaired and ready for on, cowl welded back on with all of the front end assembled, welded up. Before welding up the car went to the sandblasters for the first time, there were more holes in the roof rails, so cut them out and welded them back up!
I have also restored the hood by taking a good skin off one and welding it to a more repairable frame from the other, boot lid still needs a rear lip and some repairs.
The plan now is to spot-weld all of the rear panels on, beat the roof corners into the right shape so it sits much better on the car and weld it all up!

I'd be impressed to see a whole gang of mechanics take on something like this on the discovery channel.

Thank you for all of the encouraging support! There have been some tough times wondering whether I'd get it all square and rolling right not to mention all of the faffing with the panel fit! I've always known the project would be tough and not one to make money on! Hence why there are two Alfa v8s in the background progressing much faster! It's just a good challenge, that I don't fancy being beaten on! Shortly into the project I realised I should be working with stuff like this and have gone part time with my normal job of selling flues and chimenys to restore cars! Still need to find a good painter I can work with! I do really fancy the Plymouth sport fury gt on eBay us at the moment to have a go at if it wasn't so pricey!
