Finaly been out to the garage again and had a play around with the roadrunner, just before xmas we tried to fire the car up, primed the oil, fueled it up, hit the starter switch... Nothing, wouldn't crank on the button at all, so just to check the starter wasn't duff we shorted the starter to try it and it cranked no problem, my dad was off to texas the day after so that was that, got amos (our auto electrican) up tonight, all the relays were clicking, but still no cranking, checked the fuse board, and the fuse for the braking system was blown, changed it as an outside chance and it cranked,

big relief, will be firing up tomorow, thru the day, worked out how the nitrous kit works aswell so we've finally worked out how everything works, i'm going to be re-piping the purge valve on the kit as at the moment it is just a -6 line tucked down behind wires down the bulk head, i'm going to route it so it purge's over the screen, there's one thing for sure when were using the gas it won't be hidden, people will know

Make sure it don't touch the screen (the nitrous) . Many a screen has cracked through that.............

cheers kev, we need to change the screen anyway, some clever person has written on the lexan windscreen with a permanant marker and it won't come off!

Use 3M finesse on the screen and it will come off with a bit of work.

Or try a white board (non permanant) as this also removes permanant mark

well that was harder than we expected, it took nearly all day yesterday to get the car started! it just wouldn't fire up, it kept flattening the batery in no time, we had a 24v jump box on it in the end, and it only just went, but god its loud! can't wait to go to the track with this thing now, we won't be going to Extreeme wheels now as we have work comitments and its the same weekend as the york raceway/pdrc dinner dance so we'll be going to that instead, we intend to go to santa pod at some point next month, as soon as we get a fine weekend with a little bit of heat
