hahaha that'll be me then ;)

The problem with doing that is the balance is never quite right, inner weights are generally for static balance.. ie- heavier on one side or the other in the vertical plane, the outer weights counteract dynamic forces.
The further to the edges you can get the balance weights the better & more accurate, I always go for this option, function over form any day ;)

I will do static only balance if folk request it, but it comes with my unique 'no comeback guarantee' ;)

Tyre fitting isn't my bread & butter anymore BTW, left that trade a long time back, but when I started working for Her Majestys flying club, I ended up working next door to her tyre bay & it seemed rude not to make use of it from time to time :)

Most times I'll keep my opinions to myself, but sometimes I feel compelled to chip in on the really important stuff like jacked up rears and white letter tyres :-#

Very nice Miles.
Just needs the back jacked up to give it a nice 70's stance ;) :D

without white letters the tyre gets 'lost' in the wheel well. This pic shows my 8 x 15 soft black rims with drag radials.

Sorry Miles.
I got mixed up.
It's Robs Polara that needs jacking up !
Oh. And some white letter tyres ! :D

I know what you mean about the black tyres and black wheels Miles.... dunno what I'd do if I had that combo....

Except the only time I'd be in that situation - black wheels and no hubcaps would be if I had an A12 car. Then it would have reline tyres :D
Otherwise I'd put the caps on ;)

Yes I agree Mossy, both ours need a bit of jacking up at the rear. Or at least the springs need sorting as they are a bit saggy. Another job on the to do list

I'm only messing.
Rob and Stu's cars are outstanding.
And Rob's car was the first "early" mope that I took the time to look at and appreciate at Brooklands last year.
Perfect as it is :thumbright:
