Propshaft balancing.....

Anyone here had any good dealings with any prop balancers in the Herts/Beds/N london area?

We had the Polara's prop rebalanced (& new UJ fitted) by RecoProp in Luton just before we got the car back on the road, but over the last few weeks of use thought it might be the cause of some of our bad vibes in the 60mph / 2500rpm + range.
Obviously there may be other causes but the prop would be the easiest part to get checked 1st (ok, apart from the wheels/tyres). RecoProp also did the Satellite's prop some time ago, and that has the same problem at similar speeds, hence the worry.

Any suggestions?

Use Jubilee clips and move them around the prop - don't even have to take the prop off!

Thanks Pete, forgot about that old one ;)

Think we tried that years ago on the Satellite, dont think it helped tho :(

Worth a go, though.

If that doesnt help, have you used anyone round these parts?

Yes, Bailey Morris near St Neots (I think) did the Sox prop - much cheaper than reco-prop; but not very comfortable working in imperial UJ sizes.....
