here's some pics of my '67 barracuda notchback.

at the moment, it's residing with pro-street engineering awaiting full cage, motor plates & a few other bits (hopefully being started around xmas).

as it is at the moment, it's a stock body on superstock rear springs, with a mildly built engine (unfortunately no specs).

body wise, it's in need of a bonnet (see wanted) & front bumper. either a good t-cut/polish, or maybe even fresh paint?

will be keeping the body stock & retaining the same paint scheme to kep it looking like a race car built in the 70's.

in the pics, it's sitting on a set of standard steels up front & m/t et drag slicks up rear. it's now fitted with centrelines up front & bfg's up rear (didn't want to keep it sitting on the slicks)

interior is minimal ... just the drivers seat (will replace & make the area of floorpan it's bolted to larger to make it more stable & not wobble round so much), shifter, dash (rev counter ounted in dash) & a couple of guages. the intereio will see some augmentation ... along witht he roll cage & new seat, it'll have some more guages, custom switch panel & if funds allow, i'll get ally panels in there.

more updates as they happen.

It's got that assymetric retro look, leave it as it is...but some flake and some gold leaf would do the job! :thumbright:

i think you're right ivor regarding leaving it as it is, was just the guy who i was speaking to regarding doing the body/paint suggestd moving it forward.

not sure if my funds will go to metal or gold flake, will have to see once all the mechanical stuff is done

:iagree: Looks really good as it is. Plus if you moved the whole pattern forward, you'd have to do half the roof black, it would look odd.

personally, i totally agree too, it was just that the sprayer suggested it as an option.

at the moment there's a chrome trim about 6" back from the rear screen, which is where the black section goes up to.

the sprayer suggested possibly moving it forwards up to the base of the rear screen & then repositioning the zig-zag so the rear point is at the back of the door & the forward point to the front of the wing.

i just thought i'd put it to the general opinion to see what everyone thought.

looks like if it doesn't come up with hugh t-cutting the car when he's got a free day (i'm sure he'll do it for the normal family discount  ), then if funds allow, i'll have an exact respray.

dude whatever you do, you need to pinstripe the edges of the black, with another colour. even white or someting. kinda.. like this, to enhance it.
