Now these are rather interesting, Dave Madders at the 2006 Nats taken by Dave McBride, I dont think he would have been driving if he knew the trans' was only held in place by a couple of finger tight bolts.

We have changed the transmission to be on the safe side, plus the new one is a reverse pattern, spare gets checked out ASAP.

Fitted the new line lock button on the shifter so turning the steering wheel no longer involves a short course in bondage.

In the next two weeks, we will fit the new ignition with rev limiter, leads, etc, new radiator, new water pump, new trans fluid cooler, new electric fan and shroud.

Get rid of the rocker box oil leak (I Hope) so it doesnt catch fire,

Then it gets a nice new coat of paint and some new slicks.

Just finished moving to the new workshop today. :thumbright:

Now we just need to get on with the work, getting more than a little behind plan due to work stuff but it will be done very soon.

Well, the first thing you need in that luxury shop is a decent compressor to power my DA sander!

Looks absolutely top Jon! :D

Nice motor :thumbright:

BTW,aren't those spring perches round the wrong way? Or have the mounts been moved.

Looks like it was done on purpose to me Adam. The springs have been relocated and the lazy sods have left the original spring perches on the axle.

I would be checking that they welded the new ones in place OK.....

Didn't look too close at first, just noticed the shocks were "straight down" as opposed to being more of an angle (stock)

Now you mention it,I can see they've been relocated. #-o
