Hi, does anyone know what the widest rims & tyres I can fit on my 73 dart. It is currently on steels, with 215/65 x 15. I have measured the rear gap and there is about 40mm from outside tyre edge to arch & not much at all from inner tyre edge to leaf spring.

I am guesiing at 7 x 15?

Also, has anyone fitted 14's to the fronts?

Kev, i have a '74 Dart. Centrelines all round.15 x 7 rear and 6 x 14 front. I thin the max rear size without mods should be 235 x 15, but others members might have a different opinion.

i have a 73 duster (basicaly same car) and have 275/60x15 on the rear. i did have 14s on the front but it put the front too low and just didnt look right , i ended up using van radials to get a bigger tyre to make it look right (then put the 15" cdentrelines on )

I used to have 10x15 centerline's with 275x60x15 on the back of my Duster no prob's and the will be for sale soon. cheers
