First of all thanks to Dean for all his hard work setting this up for us again and to Pete, Ronnie, James, Laura etc for working on the stand, again, thanks everyone !

As usual the stand looked cool with a Challenger, Roadrunner and the awesome 70 Daytona, the gang did a great job with the limited area we were allocated.

The run down in the Ovlov was nice and uneventful, I now like cruise :D we had a look around the show, there were some nice examples there but the Yanks stole the day in my opinion (hooray)

The run home saw Pete and Roniie following as Pete wants to do some buisness up here tomorrow, the traffic wa a bit heavier and then we ran into the wildest storm I have seen in years lightning every ten seconds and talk about rain ! anyway by the time we arrived in Manchester the weather had improved and the car was great there and back.

We already have a killer plan for next years stand which will take some work and begging/borrowing from you lot LOL but if we get this right it will look superb, it sort of depends on what Dean can swing with the NEC but when we have an idea we will let you guys know and see who can do what to help us.

Thanks for reading, sorry if you got bored!

Not a problem mate, as ever always a pleasure, albeit a tiring one. I must say a big thanks to everyone who helped out, I couldn't do it without you, especially Tony, Paul and Kev for letting me use their cars. For once the breakdown of the stand was so quick and easy we couldn't believe it, show finished at 5.30 and I was home by 6.45!!!!!!!! The added bonus was the signing up of 9 new members and the biggest takings I have known at the NEC, just added it up and we took ?260.00. I will get onto sorting out plans for nexy year when i get to work 2morrow.

Well done guys.

I am really sorry I couldn't make it. :( I always look forward to this show but Diana had a gig out in the wilds Saturday night and we got home absolutely shattered at 1am Sunday morning. I just couldn't face getting up at 6am to drive 215 miles to the NEC and back the same day.

The American stuff looked great, but I was dissappointed with the show as a whole. The VX 4/90's weren't there this year which was a bit annoying since I anted to talk to a couple of them. Was it just me or was there one hall dedicated to Jaguars? And not classic ones either.

Thanks to Dean for all his effort, and we should all do our best to pull off Alex's idea for next year =D> it will be awsome!!!

I wondered if it is that one. It is not an R/T it is a 1970 Charger 500 which in 1970 was just a dress-up package (unlike the 500s that had come before). They came with a 383 2bbl. It is not the one that was on Top Gear.

Actually I like the '70 500s very much. A lot of car and (a big block!) for your money and you could still find them cheap not very long ago.

But ?20K? No I don't think so.

Here goes. First time trying to post some pics so bear with me. Bit gloomy I'm afraid.
Some from the NEC, mostly Mopars but also the other cars on the Classic American stand (except the Ford Cougar than won Car of the Year!). More to follow........

If you are ever in the Scottish boarders area pop into the little town of Melrose. They have a great little motor museum and they had a REO Speedwagon the last time I was there.
