Got my new water pump yesterday, looks real nice, seems a shame to put it on a car, but her in doors doesn't like it on the coffee table!

I have just got back from removing all the old stuff and forgotten to bring a bolt home to measure, can anyone please tell me what thread the waterpump bolts are?

they are 3/8 unc jon, why did you opt for that type off pump not a critisim just curious

To answer your question, very technical NOT, I just thought I'd try something different and see how we get on with it.

The pump has a 4amp draw at 37gpm, nice clean instal on the block.

Depending on how it's plumbed it can be normal flow or reverse flow, top holes on the block connected to the pump outlets cool the heads first, lower holes to the pump cools the block first.

Steel headed motors are ok using either, ally headed motors are best with the heads cooled first

JonB , are the plates that attach to the block a stock item that comes with as kit?? it seems strange to weld bungs on , surely a solid plate would be more economical to make.

Hi Trev, all came as a kit, I must admit that did strike me as a bit strange I can only assume they have lots of plates and weld in the adapter to suit the use, would the hose size vary with different applications? ie race car or street car, I know not.

thats a strange one , im sure it would be cheaper to make the plates solid, the cost of decent welding is dearer than having the parts machined from solid.maybe im missing something.

It's simple, Northern supply the weld in adaptor already threaded to suit the fittings.
The guy that does these for us has a TIG but only limited machining facilities

Hi Neil , just a thought, are these pumps suitable for street use? and can you suply without the adaptors (i could do billet ones ). what sort of price are they?
