Great day.

Pulled the 727 out the Pit yesterday afternoon , transfered all the bits over to the other box , also changed sump pans over. Got everthing ready to fit the new box today , as No Neck (gary) was coming over to give me a hand. Thanks Gaz. :thumbright:

Got the Pit up on ramps , so not a lot of room under there. Dragged the new box under , goes to fit the vertor , would'nt go in , dragged the box back out , tried again (hour), so we decided to try to fit the other two vertors to the box, no go , another hour.

Fitted all three vertors to the old box , so it was decided there was a problem with the spline on the new box.

Gary decided to remove the front pump off the old box & fit it to the new box , at this time i decided to make a cuppa & have a fag.

Tried the front pump spline in the vertor (new one) , wouldn't have it, obviously something wrong with spline , but nothing visable.

Once the old front pump was fitted to the new box , the vertor fell in :D , dragged the box back under the Pit............................................................................................................................

All in all a good day , finished around 10 o'clock.

Deffinately gonna buy a chevy.

Had it up to hear with that no good pile of poo, even the simplest of jobs are a main event, can't remember a time when anything fell into place , tell a lie , it was draining the box , only cos I fitted a drain plug.

You gotta have the patience of a saint to own or work on these possesed animals.

Thanks Gary :thumbright:

Its amazin how after a tedious day, even the most smallest of things can get parts launching quicker than Houston can !

On a seperate note, do you ever sleep ? Doesnt seem to matter at what time of night I come on here, you are either on or just posted

As long as the boiler & the waste disposal were in working order when you got home, it sounds like an improvement over the last day you reported on here!

Any road oop, never mind all that malarkey, when my other 1/2 left in a hurry, was he clutching the circlips he was hoping for? [-o<

:D :D

Keep burning those notes.....
