Mono leafs fitted!

Well, its looking a lot better this weekend! A simple job of undoing 20 bolts, changing old for new should have been straightforward. Then add mutiple sized/broken bolts, bushings that refused to budge and the job becomes about 10 hours labour.Glad i'm providing the labour. Thanks also to Mustang Mike for bringing around his Nato quality drill bits after my 'Easy outs' and plastic drill bits died!

Last pic shows the new shiny bolt that had to be drilled out and threaded, meantime before and after pics follow.
The car feels about 3 feet higher even though its probably only 2"! I had to adjust the mirrors to back out of my drive :shock: On the road it is much firmer and initial launches (well, spirited acceleration) seem to be much more sprightly. It really shows just how much the old leafs had collapsed and were being supported by air shox (now long gone).

Yep, at least I got lucky with the weather, managed to work evey evening after work without the deluges that got a whole bunch of people 8-)
