Title says it, I need some 10-24 UNC rivnuts (aka nutserts, rivet nuts etc), steel would be nice but aluminium OK at a pinch.
I'm having a hard time finding any in the UK (cos I could do with some now). I've had a pretty good websurf.

Any of you boys have a lead???

or..... have you got any contacts/friends in the US that could buy & send over what you need? Mr Neal maybe?

Someone i've got to know by email in the 62-65 crowd volunteered to send me the old style temp sender we needed. I just mailed him some cash once we'd received it.

I expect imperial inserts are fairly easy to get hold of over there?

Gav, if you are realy stuck you could always tap out some M5 ones if its not a structual fixing, not a good solution but it might get you out of trouble.

Thanks guys, good spot Rob, I will give them a call. I did find their site earlier today but only saw Metric, but overlooked the 'imperial' comment. Let's see!

The reason I went with Imperial is because that is what my rivnut tool is set up for. So I went and ordered up a few stainless 10-24 machine screws as well. I did have some rivnuts of the correct size but they are cheap and nasty and aluminium, and the threads stripped out during installation on a couple.

Trev, are M5 ones close to 10-24 then? I do have a tap. Or maybe if I'm gonna get some metric ones I could just get metric screws as well, assuming I can install them without the tool (using a bolt).

Honestly, what a pain. All this is for is for fixings in my aluminum glovebox - I've made it so I can mount my MSD, rev limiter, fusebox etc etc, and since it is not gonna be that accessible from behind thought it would be nice to use rivnuts instead of nuts/bolts. Maybe I should just use nuts and get on with it, I really don't want to be held up any more
Any other leads? I did find some 10-32 (UNF) ones but again, I don't have the tool. Othewise I'll call up zygology and if they can't help find another way (although I already drilled the oversized holes

Gav, i have a tool to do the metric ones if you want to borrow it. the M5 is abbout as near as you can get, i do also have some inserts if you want them (and stainless bolts), how many do you need??
