just got delivery of my new upgrade torsion bars, whenever I have took my torsion bars before I have made sure they go back the same way they came off, just wondering with new ones, does it matter which way they go on. the ends are marked 781L 2WU the other end 781L 455. Thanks in advance

Thought they were lettered left & right.

They should have R and L stamped in the end with the other numbers.

left & right.......... i have heard this before though , 2 the same side bars being in same box from MP ( around the same time as i got my 1" MP bars, witch were correctly marked L & R ) when the parts supplier was questioned about this said.. "they are all like that "

but OEM bars were defiantly sided

You certainly should never swap sides with used bars because they have "wound up" a particular way. Unless they are different spring rate left to right there shouldn't be a problem with new bars either way round. I'd stamp one for future ref though.

They are sided because when static (out of the box) one hex end is twisted in relation to the other. One is offset the opposite way to the one on the other side. How much offset depends on the spring rate of the bar.
My 1-inch diameter bars are not offset because of their strong spring rate. But they are still marked L & R.

Is there a front and back also ???
If there in the wrong way round, do they not twist the wrong way

Sorry, will start again. Could not check them last night becuase they were at work, they are marked left and right

As John says, have they got a front and a rear? They are mopar p3690426. They are slightly less than 1 inch about 2ml but its a small block

The stamping will go to the rear , if it's stamped front @ back, just put em in the correct side , looking from the rear of the car.

I have always put the stampings at the front because that is the way the one stock pair I ever removed came out.
Actually. if you turn them around...is there any difference as long as you have left and right ..er..right?

Yes John, they twist the same way
Last ones I did were marked L + R on the ends and the L/R marking went to the rear so's you can read them. (I suppose)

Lets not confuse the issue this time of night Jules.
