At the risk of being thrown out of the club, I thought I'd post a couple of pics of my new car. First (and probably only) new car I've ever bought. I picked it up yesterday from the Ford dealer, and I'm tickled to bits with it.
It's a 2007 Mustang GT auto with every available option: Premium package, Interior Upgrade Package, Interior Colour Accent Package, Shaker stereo with MP3, MyColour instrument panel, 18" polished alloys etc. I think it looks awesome in Tungsten with the red leather interior, like the 2004 concept car.
Anyway, here's a couple of pics today, when the sun shone briefly.

I hope the SVA light conversion has been done correctly, otherwise it'll burn out the control computer.

Thanks guys! Hope you don't think I'm showing off too much - I'm just so made up with it, I had to share. To use Uncle Jimbo's favourite phrase "You couldn't wipe the smile off my face with a baseball bat".
Jim & Sandy - yes I had a moment of blinding clarity, and decided life isn't a rehearsal. In some ways I wish I'd done it sooner, but I'm glad I waited for the right car. I did agonise over the auto/manual thing, but decided that if it was to be a daily driver, auto was the way to go. I regularly sit in traffic (don't we all?).
I'm tempted to bring it to the Nats, but the red mist would descend, and I'd be hacking it up the track. I need to put a few hundred miles on it before I stand on it. So I shall bring the Cornet, unless it's chucking it down (which seems quite likely at this rate).
Latil, I know all about the lights issue. Part of the attraction of buying one new from a Ford dealer is that the warranty is comprehensive.
Clivey, it's fab to drive. Based on the Mondeo/Jag platform, but with a live rear axle. Sounds awesome too.
Stunning looks, gorgeous to drive, 13 second quarters, 23mpg, £180 Road Tax... and cheaper than the Mondeo diesel next to it in the showroom. Seems like a no-brainer really

Well done you two looks brilliant with those wheels.
Good choice on the auto for a daily driver downsouf.
Get it down the strip while it's under warranty
