HEADER ID £10.00 REWARD

come on my smart arse friends, i purchased a set off headers about 4 yrs ago and was told they were for a b body and a hemi,
yes they are hemi but get in the way off the steering linkage so i am mighty hacked off,
reward for the ist person that can id them,
they are hooker super competition 21/8 primary 4" collector no,s on em is L 5482 B
would be very gratefull cheers dunc

Dunc, they are build it yourself headers with no specific application. They are 'adjustable'. They may have been put together for a different car to the one you are trying to get them to fit or, may have been poorly adjusted / built. The customer welds em up not the supplier. :thumbright:

thanks mark but my ancient computer wont open it, i have tried to find what they fit. not bein lazy but some off the guys on here are wizards at findin stuff

It took a little bit of searching Dunc but I found a Hooker dealer which listed all the exhausts they did. You have a mopar one but that series of numbers are listed as adjustables. The picture shows the flanges and sections of pipe and basically you mock it up in the engine bay, zap it to hold the pipes in place then take the whole lot out and weld it all up. Sounds odd I know (I wouldnt have beleived it either) but apparenly they are good for Hemi's in A Body cars amongst other things :shock: Hooker only use the numbers not the letters though but I would have thought they related to something like the handing and whether they are stailness, coated or mild steel etc.

that must be it then clive, they would work in a b/a body etc if it was not for the cross link on the steering, drat, see me at the nats for your reward ;)
