Hi all
I bought a set of Cragars really cheap but the chrome is peeling off rims badly. Is it worthwile to even ask about rechroming or should I just bin them ?

It costs almost as much to get items dechromed as it does to get chroming done.
I guess it all depends on what you paid, what it will cost for Chroming versis a new Set of wheels.

Is there a 'cheap' was of removing the chrome? Might be worth considering painting or powder coating them if you can get the old chrome off
Could still look good........ well... different, at least

What was that firm mentioned on here last year? They do a sort of chrome paint. It looked very good.

Trouble is the chrome is peeling not pitting. It comes off in chunky flakes - Having said that it only peels on the rim so, suppose I could clean it up a bit, paint the rim & put nice trim rings on em...
