big slick tyre balance

my rear tyres are 33"16"15" just had a pair fitted local bunch off arisholes damaged my rims then said they could not balance them, anyone on here know where or how to get such big tyres balanced ?????????

If you had growled at him first Dunc , think your rims would still be good.

My local ATS garage couldn't even ballance my 28x10x15s.

my man has an old fashioned ballencing 'machine', its just a pole with a mount for the wheel and bubble on it , place the wheel ona and play untill its correct, he sais its more acurate than any machine. so i supose its phone roung all your local old boys to see if anyone has one. the other way os to have them ballenced on the car but this practice isnt common anymore because of health and safety issues.

You HAVE to have what is now supplied due to new EEC legislation at a whopping £60.00 a box
(lead now banned) But still can't put the price of a balance up to cover the cost

He did growl at them adam, then he through them on the truck (tyres that is) and drove offf , they didnt dare ring him for the money

I think it was Gunsons used to make a DIY version of this, my Dad had one. It had little spirit bubles and was plastic!
