as the title says

never done this

have no real concept of the difference it makes

I have 3 gear sets to choose from

2.92:1 3.23:1 3.89:1

its currently 2.92:1 i was going to put in standard 3.23s but saw 3:89:1 for approx £80 so made an i'll advised purchase.

will that make a noticable change in acceleration or should i test out the water with the standard ones 3.23 first.

i'm really not sure what i'm doing but a little voice in my head said it was a necessary performance upgrade.

If my sums are right that is a 25% lower gear?

So your rpms will be 25% higher in all gears and your theoretical top speed will 25% lower.

BUT! You will have 25% more torque at the rear wheels. That is more than enough for you to feel the difference and you will get up to speed a hell of a lot quicker. :thumbright:

Hi Dave,

3.23's great for street cars, good mpg!
3.89's good for street/strippers or traffic light racers!!!

Thanks again for the mounts.
