Bratfink is 'In Vogue'

Thought I'd put up some pics of the old girl.
1966 Mk4 Singer Vogue Estate.
1725cc, Ally head engine.
Intake and exhaust system (twin Strombergs) is from a Mk5 Sunbeam Alpine.
4 speed overdrive trans.
I am told by a Singer club member that only about 11 of these are still known to still exist (maybe this is 12). She's my daily driver and it quite capable of doing 85 on the motorway (even if it does sound like it's going to fall apart).
I have some plans for this over the next few month, so keep an eye out.

Ah, a fellow Rootes Group man...one thing about the MMA, in addition to a love for Mopars, we've got pretty eclectic tastes.
Though I've had the Rapier completely apart over the past week and if it doesn't behave it's getting ebayed!
Still got one and a half Alpines though!

last 2 for now.
I have to extend a big thanks to Ivor, Dean and especially Alex who offered me advice and support through this build. Although it was a standard engine build the extent of the damage meant that nothing was left untouched.

Funny you should say that, everyone here should recognise the colour as Early Chrysler Blue. I posted a few months ago on the removal from VHT's product listing of the Late Chrysler Blue colour. Well that happened after I had just finished paining the block and had run out of paint for the other bits, which was quite irritating.
So Early Chrysler Blue is my new favourite engine colour. All the bits that weren't critical (i.e. all the outside bits) have been shot blasted back, painted and baked so it should last longer than the 2 weeks that paint normally sticks to an engine. I wasn't going to blast anything like the block or any of the important bits (we all remember that story!!!) so they were just cleaned up the hard way. Infact I probably spent more time cleaning than I did doing anything else, so much so that I have knackered my parts washer!
