Asked Geoff Hauser about one & he said A727s and TB's DON'T mix; ok poweglides, etc etc...flash the convertor

I have got 2 spare 3800 stall ones .........

Your 8-3/4 might not last very long with a transbrake, just buy a decent convertor and foot brake it.
If your car is 2700 with driver, then you're going to have a monster, with a faster motor.

dave simcock runs a brake in his challenger, makes for fantastic launches, check dave mc,s pics his works great in a 727
