My project aussie charger came with a fuel cell,but this does not seam to have a vent, surely this is not right? Do you have to put your own in?

Yes, the cell needs to breathe, I understand that you can get a filler cap with a vent Athough idealy this should be vented to outside the car via say a vent tube non return valve
