Think they must be Clivey, several firms offering complete Dana's built to your spec.

Several companies do new 'Dana' 60's they just call them 'Moser 60's' or Strange 60 etc. Of course all the key component parts were available new anyway (diff, suregripp, gears, axles) so it's only the housing (and maybe minor fittings?) that were needed anyway.

Last time I looked (not to buy one you understand ) you could get a whole axle assembly with suregrip (but prob not brakes) for around $1600, which to be honest I thought was not outrageous considering a secondhand 8 3/4 pumpkin will cost $400.
Of course getting one back here would add a bit to that

Sorry chaps, I'm getting quite flustered here (I am recieving PM's thick n fast from Mr. Bulmer on the topic too).

I have just been on the Strange site, and having read Gavins thread I am trting to work out what is different between a Dana 60 and a Dana 90.

In effect, if you layed a brand new Dana 60 next to an original Dana from a 1970 Hemi Cuda for example, would there be a noticeable difference in appearance?
