I think it was a '73 my "mate" had that i used to tinker with at weekends.

He fitted a 284 duration MP cam one weekend without telling me and wondered why the carter carb was flooding and the brakes had stopped working as well as they used to.

We eventually put a 272 cam in there because it was easier all round and he was pulling his hair out screaming at Geof Hauser for selling it to him. Geof to his credit took the cam back and swapped it for the 272 at no charge. I have never heard of anyone taking a cam back after being used. Before or since.

There was one in Eastbourne area on ebay a year or so back that needed welding etc, can't remember what colour it was. A mate had one, late '80s pale met blue/white vinyl roof '73 model. We picked it up near Gerrards Cross, took it back to here damn thing was nearly on fire under the bonnet. They do run a bit hot under there.

Even better. There is a type of master cylinder that is assisted by lines plumbed into the power steering pump. Works well.
