Just picked it up today from a nice guy called Stuart. Saw the ad on here via MattH and just managed to squeeze it in the garage there next to the Charger with a fag papers space but at least it's in. £96 to fill it!

Great little van, love it. :thumbright:

I don't normally like Day Vans but that is not bad looking. What is the interior like? What engine has it got?

Interior is like new. It is a stunning example. The old couple that had it before the dude I bought it off took the middle row of captains chairs out for the extra space so they only went back in recently so have never been sat in.

Drove it back from Rochdale to my house (about 130 miles) gets caught a bit by the wind when you pass a big rig but apart from that it was a lovely drive back.

It's got the 3.9 V6 petrol engine which I believe is just a Dodge 318 with two less cylinders.

I need to get some seatbelts for the middle row and Neil (Wil) is researching towbar details for me. It has 73K miles on the clock and is a fantastic van, it will be great for film shoots and general adventures. It has the bench seat at the back which folds down into a bed so may be handy for shows and weekends away also.

I am dead chuffed :thumbright: More pics tomorrow in the daylight.

Nice try. My lady is driving so I can have an ale or two with you guys. I didn't get a chance last year as I had to nip off to work but I'm sticking around this time and I even bought a new Dodge today to prove I'm a real member(!)

By all means for some other function my van will be the perfect vehicle to roll in but not tomorrow. Looking forward to it. See you then. :reindeer:

Looks great! I've always had a hankering for a DayVan - especially after driving around Oz in one.....
Looks like a good buy!

That looks great, what does it handle like? ( for normal driving I mean )

Thanks for the comments guys.

It handles fine for just getting around, I took the dog to the vets this morning in it and it's ok for urban use (well Hexham). It was a bit sketchy on the motorway yesterday coming home with the wind, it rides quite high and soft so when the wind hits you from the side it can be interesting but that's the same as driving a lot of big vehicles.

I am still happy with it but I have only owned it for 24 hours so far(!)

Haven't had the bill yet (!) but I can claim it back via my pet insurance so no great stress. The dog much prefers the van, he can stretch his legs and lie on the fold down bench seat.

The tires do look cool, so do the wheels. I got lucky with this van. I went to see one months ago that was twice the price and nowhere near as nice as this one. Just a matter of finding the right vehicle at the right time.

You are right there. £25 just to stick his finger up the dogs bum. We should be charging him!

Our vet felt bad about charging us £25 for the "finger up bum" routine, so she showed us how to do it ourselves.
..............

.....which was nice....
:D

Hey Dave if you like, I can show you how to do it with the neck of a bottle of kingfisher...........
Could save you a fortune! :D ;)

Only this club could go from "Day vans" to "proctology" in one simple step. Priceless................
