On a street/strip car, i reckon the gear vendors is a better bet, the alterkation is nice but a bit of an indulgence in my humble opinion.
Why dont you just get the magnum force tubular control arms, much better that the stock stuff.
Mick
Steve have you won the lottery.

Hi Steve, if you are trailoring the car due to the house move, I would not buy either. Save the money or buy something else. The other option would be to buy the GV and put some Johnny mental rear gears in to improve the launch, but that is probably overkill.

Agreed, I have the same set up at present but was surprised at the amount of side to side play in the rear end set up - the springs have hit the gas tank & it looks miles away.
I thought about going ladder bar, but decided to keep the car close to the essence of a SS. Therefore I will go for Caltracs and monoleafs to increase the stability, and introduce an element of tunability into the rear suspension.
I am also going Dana, spool, and Transbrake. The perfect road car

No not wanting Caltracs, new fangled stuff
I'll stick with the tried n trusted Dick Landy / and Duncan route
Dana too heavy, mono leaf 'n caltracs fussy.
Transbrake

but not for the Cuda.

Hi Killer,
As all good racers guides will tell you, "one thing at a time".
So with that in mind its gonna have to be a Vendors!!!
Tried to buy a complete set up from Magnums, they gave me the runaround. Found out later they are poopoo on the Street? So was well pleased we never got one!!!
AlterKation is the way to go for streetcars, not much gain though weightwise!
Baccy.

I don't see what you have to gain with the Vendors unless you were going to do a lot of miles on the street; and you commented recently that you were going trailer-tastic................

If you are trailering the car the only use for a GV unit is mental low gears while maintaining a good top speed. And why not? After all, a good 60ft lends to a very good ET. Remember gearing multiplies the torque at the rear wheels. But you will need to be able to plant that torque.
Or you can split the shifts if you have a narrow power band. Not needed on most strokers.
