Any good samaritans out there? Carole's good buddy just bought a secondhand Festa from a dealer. She asked if it was all ok and hadn't been nicked or crashed, he said yeah, no problem, she's got a sold as seen receipt, signed whilst standing there with her 4 yr old boy. I had a look around it when she came over and was surprised to see it had a totally smashed airbox.......Anyways, the rego comes back and it sez it has been substantially damaged in it's past. It is also purple but blue on the rego. Can anyone do an hpi or crash history check for me? Ford Fiesta X284SOO. And what is her next thing to do? It came with a brand new MOT. She is taking it to her local friendly garage to have it checked over today.

I bought a car like that once from a dealer, I got aal me dosh back even after 2 years!

Unless sold as scrap is written on invoice, "sold as seen does'nt mean anything. Full consumer rights of must be fit for the purpose it was sold for, for a minimum period of 6 months

ask ray on this one he will warn you off all the loopholes that he normally uses to get out off situations like this
