Decision made!

Well, finally had to come of the fence with the Sox Barracuda.

Back halving was never really on the cards, due to costs and the fact that at this time it will still be on the road.

So......The car will remain on Superstock springs with Caltracs (apparently it can be done), but.......

The car will be tubbed due to the ridiculous size of the original wheel housings. These were small from the factory due to the rear fold down seat arrangement and surf board deck. There are marks all over the inner housings where the tyres have been contacting, and with the rpm I am pulling I need even taller/wider tyres.

No KOS for me

The axle will remain in the original location, as moving it backwards to facilitate tyre clearance was always going to be counter-productive.

Dana 60 with 4.10's and Spool on order. New Rear Generic 11" x 2 1/2" drum brakes.

1350 Prop and front slip yoke.

Existing Cage completely cut out and binned.

New 8 point + cage going in with swing out door bars and under dash bar to support the fibre glass dash and the removable trans tunnel.
Cage will go right up to the "A" pillars for extra strength. Bars off the cage into the engine bay under the inner fenders to the Shock Towers and chassis rails for additional strength. Inner fenders stay with the usual SS "fettling" to clear the Hemi Rocker boxes. New Master Cylinder on flexi's to enable lash adjustment.

500ci KB Hemi, mounted by motorplate, with a 1050 dominator.

A727 Trans with steel drum, Transbrake, steel planetary, bolt in sprag, billet servos, Reverse pattern low band apply, and other "stuff".

Prepped "K" frame, boxed and de-lugged, with straight 6 torsion bars.
Dodge Viper 4 pot alloy calipers on late "B" body discs.

Probably a fuel cell, or a modified stock replacement fuel tank, sectioned to clear the springs.

Now.....what can I sell???????????????????

Not impossible, lots of tyre scrub, 'specially on a fat tyre, but driving out of the garage and onto a trailer behind TopBananarama's motorhome is ok ;)
