I've been offered a choice of two Mustangs. One is a 3.8V6 and the other is a 5.0 V8, both are '95 models.

The V6 has a black interior with cloth seats, comes with standard wheels and is in near showroom condition and is red
The V8 has a black and tan interior with leather seats, theres some damage to the shoulder part of the drivers seat (split), comes with aftermarket alloys. Theres also some damage to the front of the bonnet (very slight) and a small dent in the passenger door (it has been in an accident and had a replacement front bumper). This one is close to Bullet Mustang green.

I've driven them both and they both drive very well

They are both japanese imports and the seller wants £3000 for the V6 and £3,500 for the V8. I know the V6 is about the right price, but does the V8 seem like a good deal?

Most dealers want nearer £4K for one.

I have a 94 GT a few years back, very good cars, mine went to Sweden I sold it for about £3.5k and it had about 90k on the clock, what's the mileage on the GT you're looking at? The V6 is ok but is still very thirsty on Petrol so you're best going with the GT it's worth the extra £500, it will also be easier to shift when you come round to selling also, this was mine below, even though it only had about 230hp it felt very quick and was always reliable

For some reason, I never noticed the mileage on either of them . I do know that the V6 has had more use than the V8 and was thinking the V8 would be a better deal than the V6, especially at the price. Aswell as being easier to sell on when the time comes

The V6's usually have that horrible cloth interior too

The V8 is the same interior as the cobra clone Ricard Nicholls is creating in American Car World at present

This one (the V8) is the 5 litre from '95. The badges on the wing are the pony in front of the red, white and blue design with the numbers "302" written above them.
The bonnet looks to be fibre glass (at least it's been repaired with fibre glass, all be it not very well) and it has an angel eye headlight conversion

I concur, V8 wins, no question about it.
